Your Voice

They told us they would be moderates and would work together with all members of the legislature, regardless of party affiliation. What they did instead was push forward bills that silence the voice of Virginians and manipulate future elections to ensure that they will always “win.”

  • Purpose: Constitutional amendment to allow the Democrat-controlled Virginia General Assembly to redraw congressional district lines mid-decade (outside the usual post-census cycle) to take over Virginia’s representation in local, state and federal governments.

    In Other Words: This would take Virginia from its current 6:5 split (6 Democrats to 5 Republicans) in the U.S. Congress, which overall matches the state voter demographics (51.4% Democrat to 47.6% Republican), and ensure that the Democrats have 10 seats and leave just 1 for Republicans.

    Why It’s Bad: It will silence the voice of half the citizens of Virginia and will lock Virginia into a future determined solely by Democrat policies.

    Current Status: Scheduled for a statewide referendum (vote) on April 21, 2026, but is also being challenged in court by Republican opposition led by Congressmen Rob Wittman and John McGuire.

  • Purpose: Changes the deadline for receiving absentee ballots and related information to 5:00 p.m. on the third day after an election.

    In Other Words: Would allow more time for “new votes” to be “found” and counted following the normal close of voting on election day. It is important to note that those wishing to submit an absentee ballot can already do so 45 days before election day.

    Why It’s Bad: It undermines election integrity and creates serious doubts as to whether election results are free, fair and honest.

    Current Status:‍ ‍Moving on to Democrat Governor Abigail Spanberger for approval after being approved by the Democrat-controlled House of Delegates and the Democrat-controlled State Senate.

  • Purpose: Requires a voter who signs an affirmation instead of providing ID while voting absentee or at the polls to include additional information (name, birth year, and last four digits of Social Security Number).

    In Other Words: If you want to vote and can’t produce a government-issued ID, then you still get to cast a ballot so long as your identity and status as a legal voter can be confirmed.

    Why It’s Good: It bolsters election integrity and ensures that the only ballots counted are cast by those who are legally allowed to vote. It also addresses the claim by some Democrats that certain minority constituents aren’t capable of getting a government-issued ID (ID card, driver’s license, passport, etc.)

    Current Status:‍ ‍Killed by the Democrat-controlled State Senate.

  • Purpose: Amends sections of the Virginia election code to make it unlawful for any person, including law enforcement, to “perform any act for the purpose or in furtherance of enforcement of federal immigration laws” within a 40-foot radius of places where polls are open or ballots are being counted. The intent, according to Democrats, is to ensure that voters are not deterred from participating in elections by the presence or actions of federal immigration enforcement personnel.

    In Other Words: It minimizes protections against voter fraud by allowing non-citizens access to places where polls are open and/or where ballots are being counted

    Why It’s Bad: It will make it easier for fraudulent ballots to be cast by those who are not citizens of the United States and therefore not legally allowed to vote.

    Current Status:‍ ‍Introduced in the 2026 Regular Session; committee referral pending.

  • Purpose: Permanently expands the option to use ranked choice voting in local elections beyond counties/city councils to any local governing body.

    In Other Words: Instead of voting for one candidate, you rank all candidates and then a computer eliminates those candidates with the lowest number of votes so that those first-choice votes can be redistributed until a candidate has a synthetic majority.

    Why It’s Bad: It will complicate the voting process, introduce greater dependence on vulnerable computers in the process of voting while abandoning the currently working and transparent “one person, one vote” precedent.

    Current Status:‍ ‍Introduced in the 2026 Regular Session; in committee.

  • Purpose: Extend the deadline for ballot curing of provisional and absentee ballots to noon on the following Monday after Election Day.

    In Other Words:‍ ‍More time to verify and “fix” errors in provisional and absentee ballots that are not submitted properly during the 45-day pre-Election Day period and are still questionable following the closing of polls on Election Day.

    Why It’s Bad: It undermines election integrity and creates serious doubts as to whether election results are free, fair and honest.

    Current Status:‍ Approved by one Democrat-controlled body in the General Assembly or the other and is moving forward.

  • Purpose: Sign Virginia onto the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact for Presidential Electors and effectively remove Virginia from the Electoral College.

    In Other Words: Democrats want to abolish the Electoral College which helps to preserve the federal structure of the United States by ensuring that states, not just individuals, play a role in choosing the president. The Electoral College encourages candidates to campaign across a wide range of geographic regions instead of focusing only on densely populated cities. By requiring support from multiple states to reach a majority of electoral votes, the Electoral College promotes coalition-building and national consensus. It also helps to produce clear election outcomes by containing recount disputes within individual states rather than triggering a single nationwide recount.

    Why It’s Bad: Eliminating the Electoral College would marginalize the voice of smaller states and would shift all of the focus and power to densely populated cities. Eliminating it would also break the Federalist foundation of our Constitutional Republic and weaken election integrity by creating opportunities for chaos when ballots are questionable.

    Current Status:‍ ‍Approved in their respective Democrat-controlled chambers and moving forward.

  • Purpose: The bill aims to standardize the counting process by requiring electronic ballot scanners for ballots, rather than allowing hand counting.

    In Other Words: Democrats want to make it unlawful to hand-count ballots.

    Why It’s Bad: It would undermine election integrity by utilizing vulnerable technology in place of manual processes that reinforce transparency and public trust

    Current Status:‍ ‍Introduced in the 2026 session and is moving forward through committee.

  • Purpose:‍ ‍Seeks to establish a bi-partisan Ballot Question Fairness Commission to institute standards for ballot question language, readability, accessibility for statewide referenda questions. It would also allow for public comment and a judicial review process prior to a statewide referenda question.

    In Other Words: It would ensure that referenda questions posed to voters (proposed bills that we get to vote directly on in April and November) would be fair, clear and understandable to all voters.

    Why It’s Good: It would create a bi-partisan body to help protect voters from being manipulated which would reinforce transparency and public trust.

    Current Status:‍ ‍Killed in committee by Democrats.

  • Purpose:‍ ‍Establishes collective bargaining for public employees.

    In Other Words: It would unionize public employees in all positions at the state and local levels.

    Why It’s Bad: It would be a decision made by an unelected bureaucrat in Richmond that would:

    • Lead to excessive waste and bloat;

    • Bankrupt local governments;

    • Bankrupt local school districts;

    • Increase public school class sizes;

    • Shift funding away from police departments, fire departments, and EMTs;

    • Pull maintenance funding away from critical infrastructure including roads, bridges and water utilities;

    • Destroy the democratization of state and local governments;

    • Drive up property taxes on working families;

    • Become the single largest tax increase in Virginia history;

    • NOT deliver better services to the taxpayer.

    Current Status:‍ ‍Moving forward through their respective chambers and committees. Facing opposition from local governments.

  • Purpose: Would allow voters to submit their votes using an online platform.

    In Other Words: It would take absentee balloting to an extreme that would completely change the fundamental means of voting and the purpose of Election Day.

    Why It’s Bad: It significantly undermines election integrity and would be highly prone to data manipulation (cheating).

    Current Status:‍ ‍Discussed openly by Democrats in the Virginia General Assembly, but has not been introduced as a proposed bill.

Current Virginia Congressional Districts that represent the current 6:5 split (6 Democrats to 5 Republicans) in the U.S. Congress, which overall matches the state voter demographics (51.4% Democrat to 47.6% Republican).

The Proposed Virginia Congressional Districts as Redistricted by Virginia Democrats which would dramatically alter congressional representation by connecting five of the districts to Fairfax/Northern Virginia ensuring that the Democrats have 10 seats and leave just 1 for Republicans (District 9). This redistricting will silence the voice of half the citizens of Virginia and will lock Virginia into a future determined solely by Democrat policies.
